- Thanks for visiting our "dot.com" web violin shop. If you have the opportunity, plan a visit to our shop in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania which is located about 30 minutes south of Harrisburg, and is only about two hours from Washington, DC; Baltimore, MD; and Philadelphia, PA.
Edward C. Campbell is the Master Violin Maker at The Chimneys. He has earned 3 Gold Medals, 11 Certificates of Merit, and 16 Grand Prizes in International Competitions for making violins, violas, and celli.
The Chimneys carries a selection of violins, violas, celli, and their bows and accessories. We do artistic repairs and restorations on these stringed instruments and their bows. Our prices range from modest for the beginner to the best for the professional. All are handmade by Makers all over the world including those made here at The Chimneys. We supply school instruments to a large number of schools within a radius of a couple hundred miles from our location.
We also conduct annual workshops sponsored by The Violin Makers Association of Arizona International, and have a violin-making apprenticeship program. Look at the information here and contact us with your needs. We have also released our 4TH book - The Chimneys Violin Maker's Workshop Book - IV
